Include filly rallies to score third career stakes win

Victress came from off the pace once again to capture the $75,000 Monashee S. by a head July 2 at Hastings Park, the third stakes win overall and the first of 2017 for the 4-year-old Include filly. 

Include now has seven stakes horses this year, including the Grade 1 winner Samba Inc (ARG), while his lifetime progeny earnings have surpassed $48 million.

Victress trailed the field for the first six furlongs before launching her bid on the final turn, going three-wide with only Snuggles to catch in the stretch. Snuggles was up two lengths with a furlong to run, but Victress wore her down with a late surge to secure the win (VIDEO).

Bred by Judy Hicks, Victress in now 3-2-0 in seven starts, earning $121,312 for Victoria and Robert Gilker.
