Summer Front's newly-turned 3-year-old filly Summers Hope turned in an eye-catching debut Jan. 23 at Fair Grounds, rolling to a 6 3/4-length maiden special weight win at 5 1/2-furlongs over a very sloppy racetrack.

Taking the lead soon after leaving the gate from her inside post, Summers Hope was up about two lengths after a half-mile in :46.12, then poured it on in the stretch to win with complete authority (VIDEO).

The winner is owned by Stallionaire Enterprises LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Lantern Hill Farm. Summers Hope is out of Frank's Hope and is a half-sister to stakes winner Strike Silver and her second dam is Frizette S. (G1) winner Silver Maiden.
