As an early 3-year-old in 1997, Banker’s Gold won his first FOUR career starts - at six furlongs, at seven furlongs twice, and then Belmont’s 1 1/8-mile Peter Pan Stakes (G2).
He also won the 1998 Tom Fool Handicap (G2), going seven furlongs at Belmont in 1:21 flat, ran second, beaten just a neck, in the Carter Handicap (G1) and second on a muddy track in 1:33 2/5 in the Met Mile (G1).

Banker’s Gold, an exceptional individual, retired sound with a reputation as one of the nation’s most formidable middle-distance competitors in 1997 and 1998.
