This time last year, Indian Charlie’s brilliant daughter Fleet Indian was being crowned the Nation’s top older mare at the 2007 Eclipse awards. Last night, it was yet another Indian Charlie filly walking away with championship honors as the undefeated Indian Blessing was officially recognized as the top two-year-old filly in the country. Indian Blessing left little in the way of suspense following her dominant win in the GI $2,000,000 Breeder’s Cup Juvenile, and was recognized as champion by an overwhelming majority. Indian Blessing, a thoroughly impressive winner of her 2008 debut last week when taking the GII Santa Ynez stays in training with trainer Bob Baffert and appears to have a truly limitless future in 2008!
Congratulations to all her championship connections: Owner/Breeder Hal and Patti Earnhardt, trainer Bob Baffert and Eclipse award winning jockey Garret Gomez!
