2YO STAKES WINNER FOR INDIAN CHARLIE

Anna M. Fisher Debutante S.,  7 furlongs, $100,000.

In a huge weekend for trainer Bob Holthus, TWO YEAR OLD INDIAN CHARLIE FILLY, KOTA, WINS EASILY  IN HER SECOND STAKES TRY AFTER LAUNCHING A BOLD MOVE FROM THE BACK OF THE PACK.  Out of the Gulch mare Silverbulletlover, the big bay missed by a neck after a rocky trip in the 5 1/2 furlong Silver Maiden Stakes at Arlington on July 31 and looked to benefit from the added 1 1/2 furlongs here.  KOTA was last of eight after the break and Jockey John McKee remained unhurried for a half.  He moved her out six wide around the turn, caught up to the favorite, Angel Trumpet, a sixteenth out and drove briskly clear to take it by 2 3/4 at the wire, Angel Trumpet was 5 lengths ahead of the third place finisher.

Lifetime: 4-2-1-1 $74,420.
