Haynesfield, arguably the best son of the great Speightstown, continues to generate major industry buzz with his first crop of two-year-olds. His first two juveniles to enter the sales ring at this year’s OBS March Sale signaled that the positive chatter has indeed been justified. After his first colt was knocked down to the famed Dogwood Stables for $160,000, his second representative – a scopey Airdrie bred that had been a $65,000 yearling purchase – further upped the ante by bringing a final bid of $310,000 from Frank Gallagher. It’s a great start for a stallion that has all the ingredients for major sire success. Airdrie wishes continued good luck to the breeders that have so well supported him.
