WINNING TOAST lit up the board at Monmouth Park in her debut for trainer John Kimmel. Facing a field of first time starters going 5 furlongs, she defeated the favorite Ready to Talk (More than Ready) by 4 lengths and from her it was another 10 1/4 lengths back to third. WINNING TOAST was a $50,000 yearling and was purchased by Kimmel for $120,000 this February at the first springtime OBS 2YO in training sale.
Off as the second choice she pressed the pace to the turn, moved to the front and continued to draw clear in the final furlong to a driving finish in :59 flat.
