The team of Airdrie Stud and trainer Larry Jones has been fortunate to have two Kentucky Oaks winners graduate through the three-year-old stakes program at Fair Grounds … here’s hoping that number three comes in the form of Divine Beauty. The undefeated stakes-winning two-year-old filly by Divine Park continues to give every indication that the Jones team has another good filly on the Oaks path in 2014. Breaking last in Saturday’s Lettelier Stakes, Divine Beauty settled nicely before launching an impressive outside bid into the turn and finishing full of run en route to a 6 1/4 length demolition of the talented field. Her win follows closely on the heels of equally impressive two-year-old wins at Churchill Downs by two other Divine Park juveniles in Divine View and Homesick Angel — both of whom are being pointed to the top three-year-old stakes at Fair Grounds and Oaklawn Park respectively. With this band of talented sophomores slated for big efforts in the new year, it’s shaping up to be a Divine 2014 for the young Airdrie stallion.
