American Freedom’s latest winner rolls by 8 1/2-lengths

American Freedom’s fourth First-Crop winner American Sanctuary made it look easy with his 8 1/2-length maiden special weight win July 18 at Prairie Meadows.

All four of American Freedom’s winners have come in maiden special weight races and have been at four different race tracks. He’ll have an opportunity for number five July 23 at Saratoga with the colt Good Skate in another MdSpWt contest.

American Sanctuary blew the five-furlong race open at the top of the stretch, coming with a rush from third to assume the lead, then drawing off easily to cover the distance in :57.68 on a fast track.

The winner is owned by Dare to Dream Stable LLC and was bred by Ben & Beck Henley and Sebastien Murat. The bay colt comes from the family of Grade 1 winner Mayo on the Side.
