A Grade 1 juvenile of 2013, Proud Citizen’s talented 3-year-old daughter Battlefield Angel made it clear that she is back in form and a force to be reckoned with in 2014 by recording an impressive first stakes score in Delaware Park’s Chirstiana Stakes. Coming off a dominant allowance score in her turf debut, Battlefield Angel was bet down to 2-1 to continue her perfect record on the grass and rewarded her backer’s with a measured length win after sitting second into the stretch. Out of the Langfuhr mare Langara Lass, the same cross that produced Proud Citizen’s Eclipse Award winning 3-year-old filly Proud Spell, Battlefield Angel was bred in Kentucky by Ray Hansen and raised by John Penn, and races for the Mulholland family of Mulholland Springs. Congratulations to all the connections of Proud Citizen’s newest stakes winner!
