Cairo Prince filly caps 2020 with first stakes win

Jeweled Princess got her first stakes win and fourth victory in five starts in Friday’s $75,000 She’s All In S. at Remington Park (VIDEO).

The 3-year-old filly is Cairo Prince’s 14th stakes horse of 2020, tied for the most on the Third-Crop sire list. Cairo Prince also ranks second on the list by both black type winners and winners.

Jeweled Princess got a rail-skimming ride in the 1 mile and 70 yard contest. Breaking from post one, she was several lengths from the front until launching her bid with a quarter mile to run. She came through a very narrow opening in upper stretch and outran Istan Council to win by a head in 1:42.85 on the fast main track.

With the victory Jeweled Princess is 4-3-2 in 13 starts and has earned $212,276. She is owned by Walking L Thoroughbreds, who purchased her for $160,000 out of the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings sale. She was bred in Kentucky by Mary Reynolds.
