FASIG-TIPTON SUMMER YEARLING SALE IN KENTUCKY saw the first offerings of three freshman Airdrie stallions, HARLAN’S HOLIDAY, PROUD CITIZEN and YANKEE GENTLEMAN. Each was well represented and well supported by buyers.
HARLAN’S HOLIDAY was the talk of the sale with 16 individuals offered and 14 sold including the 2nd highest priced colt of the opening session at $375,000 for Hip #118 – consigned by Gainesway and purchased by Zayat Stables. Harlan’s Holiday’s average was $120,857.
PROUD CITIZEN had 7 sold and averaged $65,714, with a colt at Hip #80 going for $125,000.
YANKEE GENTLEMAN’s strong athletic physique is being carried on by his progeny and 7 yearlings sold averaged $96,000. Breeder Rosilyn Polan made an excellent return on her stud fee ($10,000) with her colt at Hip #210, his highest priced, at $197,000.
