At Woodbine Race Course on Monday, August 4th, Commander’s Lady closed from last to finish second in the Wonder Where Stakes ($250,000); a 1 1/4 mile contest on the turf.
The 3yo filly’s last win was in May at Belmont in an allowance race over 1 mile on the turf. She was bred in Canada by K5 Stables, Inc. and now races for Hilly Fields Stable and is conditioned by Philip Serpe.
In Japan on Saturday, August 2nd, Grab Your Heart won convincingly at Niigata in a 9 f contest. Placed sixth in the early going, she powered to the lead and crossed the wire 6 lengths ahead of her competition.
