DEPUTY GLITTERS tracked the pace 3 wide through six furlongs behind favorite HIGH COTTON (Dixie Union). Deputy Glitters began a concentrated move leaving the turn and dug in resolutely during a long, gripping stretch drive against High Cotton covering the 1 1/8 miles in 1:50.32. Deputy Glitters’ superb effort under Rene Douglas had him home best by a 1/2 length at the wire, earning a 105 Beyer, in a sweet victory for trainer Tom Albertrani.
