Divine Park’s talented daughter Lady Eli turned out to be one of Saratoga Racetrack’s worst kept secrets. Given a 4-1 chance on the morning line for her Spa debut, the Chad Brown trainee went to the post as the 3-5 favorite after word had spread that she had the look of a filly with a big future. Those that played against her had to be counting their money as she was repeatedly cutoff as she attempted to make multiple runs in the stretch, but when she found daylight, Lady Eli surged to the front for a visually superb win over a typically top-quality Saratoga field.
By all accounts, the Grade III Ms. Grillo Stakes and the Grade I Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Stake are next up on Lady Eli’s calendar- and those that saw her debut know she’s deserving of such ambitious plans.
Congratulations and best of luck to owner Sheep Pond Partners, breeder Runnymede Farm and trainer Chad Brown!
