EUGENE’S THIRD SON making a strong return.

Two tough allowance tests for gritty Indian Charlie performers:

EUGENE’S THIRD SON, easing back into form made his first start back at Churchill Downs yesterday, he’d had a long layoff caused by a problematic splint suffered after his second place finish in the Arkansas Derby April 12. In this 7 f Allowance test he pressed the pace early and took over confidently 2 furlongs out and Pat Day cruised him home to an easy win.

REDSKIN WARRIOR had his second win in 3 starts yesterday at Aqueduct for trainer Jennifer Pedersen. Under heavy restraint by Jockey Jose Santos for the half he was finally let go at the top of the stretch and drew clear to win by 4 3/4, unfortunately he was vanned off after the race but no word has been given on the type of injury.
