Eugene’s Third Son wins at Gulfstream

Eugene’s Third Son broke his maiden at Churchill last November and ran 2nd at this track on Jan 26.  Making his first start around two turns he was sent off as the second choice and broke altertly from the 3 hole.  He set all the fractions and was challenged down the stretch by two others but gamely held off those foes to win by 1 3/4 lengths.  Owned by Richard Nip and trained by Patrick Byrne.
