First time starter wins at Del Mar

SLEW CITY LILY, sent of at 4-1 in her bow, stepped right out to the early lead and spurted clear down the lane to win by 4 1/2 lengths in a 6 furlong $47,000 Del Mar MSW.
On the same day, WIN CITY ran second by a neck in the Seagram Cup Stakes at Woodbine.
