Harlan’s Holiday colt Tops Breeze-Up Sale.

TATTERSALLS CRAVEN BREEZE-UP SALE, APR 19.

John Ferguson signed for the top three lots at yesterday;s second session of the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale, headed by a 320,000 Guineas HARLAN’S HOLIDAY colt….(approx $670,000).  Willie Browne’s Mocklershill Stables sold the colt, on which agent Anthony Stroud, standing with trainer Jeremy Noseda and owner Paul Roy, was underbidder.  “He breezed exceptionally well and from our point of view he was the pick of the colts here,” said Ferguson. “Therefore we knew there would be a lot of competition for him.  We bought a Harlan’s Holiday in Calder this year who was a similar type and I’ve been impressed by them.  We’ll talk to Sheikh Mohammed, but I think it is likely he’ll stay over here to race”.
