Homebred Perfect Prediction captures first stakes try

Brereton Jones’ homebred 3-year-old filly Perfect Prediction made her first stakes start a winning one on March 3 when the daughter of Majesticperfection powered to a 3 1/4-length victory in the $50,000 Take Charge Brandi S. at Delta Downs.

Traveling seven furlongs for the first time, Perfect Prediction went immediately to the front, and after a first quarter-mile in :23.70 seconds, she was never seriously threatened. The winner stopped the timer in 1:25.60 over a track listed as fast.

A maiden special weight winner last September, Perfect Prediction is now 2-1-1 in five starts and has earned $75,300 for her owner and trainer Larry Jones.

Perfect Prediction is out of Predictress, dam of six winners, including stakes winner Three Day Rush.

With four crops of racing age to date, Majesticperfection has 17 black type horses, including millionaire and Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Lovely Maria.
