  • 2YO Heartily put in a TDN Rising Star effort when winning a MSW at KEE by 6 and a half lengths on 10/4/25 for owner Lael Stables and trainer Wesley Ward. The colt was a $375,000 OBSApr25 sale grad, bred by Jack Miller.
  • INTRICATE SPIRIT, a TDN Rising Star in his first effort, continued to show top class winning the Futurity Stakes (G3) on 10/3/25, earning his first graded stakes score as well as a win and you’re in for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Stakes next month. The 2YO colt is owned by West Point Thoroughbreds, Madaket Stables LLC, Kenneth and Gail P. Beitz, is trained by Miguel Clement, and was bred by Ben and Rebekah Henley, & Jim Gray.
  • The consistent INNOVATIVE made it back to back wins when earning her first graded stakes score in the John C. Harris Stakes (G3) at SA on 9/27/25 for Little Red Feather and Sterling Stables.   • MO PLEX became Complexity’s first Derby winner by convincingly winning the Ohio Derby (G3) going 9 furlongs at TD on 6/21/25. He now has earnings of $745,000 for owner R and H Stable, and trainer Jeremiah Englehart.
  • In her first attempt at graded stakes company, Hollygrove finished 3rd in the Miss Preakness Stakes (G3) at PIM on 5/16/25. Bred by Glendalough LLC, owned by Legion Racing and trained by Whit Beckman. She now has earnings of $188,583.
  • KALE’S ANGEL finished 3rd in the Bachelor Stakes at OP on 5/2/25. He carried high weight of 124 pounds. In four starts this year he’s earned over $200K, 4 2-0-2.
  • Making his second start off the layoff, MO PLEX won the Bayshore Stakes at AQU on 4/19/25 giving the stallion two stakes winners on the day. Mo Plex was bred by Everything’s Crickets Racing, is owned by R and H Stable, and trained by Jeremiah Englehart. The colt now has $445,000 in earnings.
  • COMPLEXITY JANE is living up to her hype. Two-year-old consignor, David Scanlon, called her the queen. The filly is now three for three, and earned her first black-type race in the Weber City Miss Stakes at LRL on 4/19/25. In winning the stakes race, she became the 7th stakes winner for the stallion. The filly was bred by Airdrie, is owned by Golden Lion Racing, and trained by Brittany Russell.
  • HOLLYGROVE earned her fastest Equibase number when finishing 3rd in the Serena’s Song Stakes at TP on 3/29/25. She’s already earned $88,000 in 2025.
  • Carrying 122 pounds as the co-high weight, KALE’S ANGEL earned his third stakes win in the Animal Kingdom Stakes at TP on 3/22/25. Bred by Airdrie Stud, the 3 YO colt has earned $400,675 to date. He is trained by Peter Miller and owned by Tom Kagele and Ernest Marchosky.
  • Making his first start in 2025, and coming off a four and a half month layoff, MO PLEX finished 3rd in the Gander Stakes at AQ on 3/8/25. The colt was bred by Everything’s Cricket Racing, is owned by R and H Stable, and trained by Jeremiah Englehart. He has $362,500 in lifetime earnings.
  • Making his first start on the dirt, Shin Forever finished 2nd in the $1.5M Saudi Derby (G3) on 2/22/25. Bred by Bret Jones, sold as a September yearling to Wavertree and pinhooked to top Japanese trainer Hideyuki Mori, the blue-eyed now 3YO colt is a fan favorite.
  • HOLLYGROVE stepped up her game once again, having previously won a MSW, and placing in a stakes race, she won the Valdale Stakes at TP on 2/8/25 for owner Legion Racing and trainer Whit Beckman. The 3YO filly was bred by Glendalough, LLC.
  • First out winner Naive Melody, in her second lifetime start, finished 3rd in the East View Stakes at AQ on 2/8/25. The NY bred filly was bred by Sequel Thoroughbreds and is a half sister to graded stakes winner Domestic Product.
  • Coming back in two weeks, KALE’S ANGEL won the Renaissance Stakes at OP on 1/18/25. Bred by Airdrie Stud, trained by Peter Millar, and owned by Tom Kagele and Ernest Marchosky, the colt has earned just shy of $250,000.
  • KALE’S ANGEL finished 3rd in the Smarty Jones Stakes at OP on 1/4/25 giving him 3 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.
  • TOUGH CATCH, in his fifth start, earned his first black-type race in the Sugar Bowl Stakes at FG to become the stallions 5th stakes winner of the year. He’s co-leading 1st crop sire by stakes wins and graded stakes wins. TOUGH CATCH is owned by S.O.K. Racing, Gervais Racing, On Our Own Stable, Zak Stables, and Dallas Stewart. Stewart also trains the colt, who finishes the year with over $200,000 in earnings.
  • First out winner Hollygrove finished 2nd in the Sandpiper Stakes at TAM on 12/7/24, giving Complexity his 9th stakes horse of the year. The filly is owned by Legion Racing and trained by Whitworth Beckman. She was bred by Glendalough, LLC.
  • KALE’S ANGEL won the Advent Stakes at OP on 12/6/24 earning a 93 Beyer Speed Figure in the process. He’s the 20th stakes winner bred by Airdrie Stud in 2024.
  • Tough Catch found another tough trip, finishing 2nd in the Ed Brown Stakes at CD on 11/20/24. The colt now has $141,200 in earnings from four starts as a two-year-old.
  • Finding the dirt track in his third start, Calling Card won a NY bred MSW at AQU by 17 lengths, earning an 86 Beyer Speed figure. The colt is trained by Mike Maker and owned by Three Diamonds Farm.
  • In just his third start, Kenny Be stepped into stakes company, finishing 2nd in the Notebook Stakes at AQU on 11/17/24. The colt was bred by Apache Farm, is owned Clear Stars Stable and Mitre Box Stable, and trained by David Duggan.
  • In the Sleepy Hollow Stakes at BAQ on 10/27/24, MO PLEX was four and five wide, but was gritty as could be to finish second in that race.
  • Tough Catch had a rough trip and was all heart, only beaten a half length when finishing 2nd in the Bowman Mill Stakes at KNLD on 10/26/24.
  • Having to go 6 wide down the backstretch, MO PLEX finished third, where he was 8 clear of the rest of the field, in the Champagne Stakes (G1) on 10/5/24.
  • 2YO Valtellina, who broke her maiden first out at Saratoga, came back in her second race on 9/22/24 at BAQ to get black-type, finishing second in the Joseph A. Gimma Stakes. Bred by ThoroStock LLC, she is trained by Ray Handal and owned by Pavilion Racing.
  • MO PLEX stayed undefeated winning Funny Cide Stakes at Saratoga on 8/25/24. Bred by Everything’s Cricket Racing, trained by Jeremiah Englehart, and owned by R and H Stable.
  • One share in Complexity was offered at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale on 8/6/24 as the first lot of the night. Scott Heider, head of Heider Family Trust, purchased the share for $510,000.
  • BLACK FORZA turned on the jets to pass the entire field and win the (Gr2) Richmond Stakes at Goodwood Racecourse on 8/1/24. This is the first Gr2 winner, the second graded stakes winner and the third stakes winner for Complexity. He’s now sired a stakes winner on the dirt, synthetic, and turf.
  • Airdrie will be offering one share for sale in Complexity at the Fasig-Tipton live auction in Saratoga Springs, NY on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
  • Complexity’s very first winner MENSA became a black-type earner in the Victoria Stakes at Woodbine ON 7/19/24. The ridgling couldn’t have won it easier, with the track announcer calling it 6.5 lengths at the wire, could have been 10! Congratulations to breeder Beth Bayer, trainer Mark Casse, and owner Resolute Racing.
  • MO PLEX became the first graded stakes winner for Complexity when winning the Sanford Stakes (G3) at Saratoga 7/13/24 for trainer Jeremiah Englehart. This puts Complexity at the top of the First-Crop Sire standing as leading earner, number of winners, black-type horses and graded winners.
  • Two-year-old Complexion, a half-sister to G1 winner Jack Christopher and a $400,000 sale yearling, won her first out start at Aqueduct on 6/16/24 by six and half furlongs, earning a TDN Rising Star award in the process. The filly is trained by Danny Gargan and owned by Arnmore Thoroughbreds, Carl Pascarella, and Yurie Pascarella. She was bred by Castleton Lyons and Kilboy Estate.
  • French Horn, in her second start finished 3rd in the Astoria Stakes at Saratoga on 6/6/24. This is the sire’s first black-type.
  • Complexity sires his second winner, French Horn, who won a MSW at Woodbine, at odds of 1-1 for owner BG Stables, and trainer Mark Casse. The filly was bred by Narola, LLC.
  • Two-year-old Mensa was offered through a Fasig-Tipton flash on-line auction, selling for $740,000 to John Stewart’s Resolute Racing. He’s pointing to the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes, along with Tuxedo Park, at Churchill Downs on 5/2/24.
  • Mensa became the first winner for first-crop sire Complexity, winning a MSW at Gulfstream Park on 4/12/24. This is the second starter for the horse, the first, Tuxedo Park, finished second at Keeneland 4/10/24. Mensa was bred by Beth Bayer, owned by DJ Stable and trained by Mark Casse.
  • The OBS March breeze up sale resulted in a filly out of Perfect Pegasus bringing $310,000 from Flanagan Racing, a colt out of Praising bringing $300,000 from Hideyuki Mori, a filly out of Goods and Services bringing $220,000 from Wesley Ward, and a filly out of Bestinthebusiness brought $170,000 from Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds.
  • Complexity was represented by 24 entries in the 2024 OBS March Two-Year-Olds in Training sale, the most of ANY stallion in the catalog.
  • Complexity’s first crop of yearlings had a Keeneland September sale average of $102,000. Yearlings brought $400,000, $375,000, $375,000, $340,000, etc.
  • Mike Ryan, who purchased Complexity as a yearling, raised his hand to buy three separate six-figure yearlings by the sire in September.
  • First crop weanlings brought $140,000, $120,000, $100,000, etc.
  • Dominant winner of the G2 Kelso H. on Oct. 3rd, Complexity earned a 110 Beyer and 3 Ragozin
  • His 110 Beyer is the third-highest Beyer Speed Figure by any horse in 2020
  • Wire-to-wire winner of the G1 Champagne S. at Belmont as a two-year-old earning a 95 Beyer and 8 Ragozin, Complexity defeated a top-class field including multiple G1 winner Code Of Honor by 3 lengths, with Call Paul, who entered off a victory in the G2 Saratoga Special S. in 3rd. Five other Stakes horses including 3 subsequent GSW were off the board
  • Gallant 4th in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile after contesting blazing fractions from a difficult wide draw. The six-furlong split was 0.36 seconds faster than the winning time in the BC Sprint on the same card
  • Dueled 3 and 4 wide in the rain-sodden G1 Forego S. at Saratoga this summer, setting torrid fractions of 22-1, 44-3, 1:08-4, only to be caught in the final jumps by Win Win Win, in a field that also included G1 winners, Whitmore, Firenze Fire and Mind Control
  • Earned a TDN Rising Star, 90 Beyer and an 8 1/2 Ragozin for his debut MdSpWt win at Saratoga, where he wired the field in 1:09 3/5. He won by 4 1/4 lengths over subsequent G2 Holy Bull S. winner, Harvey Wallbanger, with subsequent SW King For A Day another 6 lengths back in 3rd
  • Returned from a freshening at 3 to defeat older horses at Aqueduct winning “geared down” by 7 ¼ lengths in 1:22 2/5, earning a 101 Beyer and 3 Ragozin
  • A $375,000 yearling purchase by Mike Ryan on behalf of Klaravich Stables; he was the highest-priced yearling in Maclean’s Music’s third crop
  • By Maclean’s Music, also sire of the 2020 G1 Champagne S. & G1 Hopeful S. winner, JACKIE’S WARRIOR
  • Apart from Complexity, his dam, Goldfield, has produced four winners from four others to race, including GSW VALADORNA, who was 2nd by 3/4 length to Caledonia Road in the 2016 G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies S.
