Aqueduct $43,000 ALW – 6 furlongs.
Midnight Charlie had managed to hit the board only once since breaking his maiden over recent Whirlaway S. winner Boston Bull, but has been relatively close versus stiffer competition than here, most recently finishing fourth in the Count Fleet S. over a muddy Aqueduct track on 1/4/03.
