Miracle Man broke his maiden at Churchill in a scorching five furlongs coming off the pace to win by 1 3/4 in an early 2YO debut on May 8th. After a long absence he was dismissed by bettors at 19-1 despite a couple of bullet works at Payson Park. Miracle Man stalked a solid pace in second and drew clear by 2 1/4 widening lengths, stoping the clock in 1:10.3, and giving promise of exciting things to come. Upon dismounting Cornelio Velasquez said “Don’t worry about this colt getting two turns, he’s for real!”.
