Peace Rock, a three-year-old out of the Groovy mare, Connie Bonner, broke his maiden wire to wire at Gulfstream Park on Saturday in good fashion after gaining the lead, then holding off a challenge by Blazing Freedom (Gone West) to win by two lengths.
At the Fairgrounds, Lighter Knot (out of Hearts Content by Northern Baby) begrudgingly forfeited the lead in the last strides of the Gentilly Handicap ($100K) to the winner Zarb’s Music.
