Proud Citizen Colts bring $413,883 & $314,259 at Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale!!

Newmarket – Mrs. Jane Chapple-Hyam purchased a Proud Citizen colt for $413,883 at the opening session of the Tattersall’s Craven Breeze Up Sale. Out of the Dixieland Band mare Landholder, he is a half brother to the stakes horses, Skyrock (by Sky Classic) and Our Joy (by El Prado). His stakes placed second dam is a half sister to the Irish 1000 Guineas winner Nicer.

Consigned by Mocklershill Stables, the colt was purchased for $200,000 at last years Keenland September sale by Meadowlands Stud.

Day two of the sale provided another highlight for Proud Citizen when Charlie Gordon Watson signed the ticket for $314,259. The Bay Colt is out of the Deputy Minister mare Sunset Service, who is the dam of the Stakes winning full brothers, Vespers and Database.

This son of Proud Citizen was consigned by Yeomanstown Stud, Ireland. This was a great pin hooking result, as the colt was purchased by Ben McElroy at Keenland September for $60,000.

Congratulations to all involved in these two very exciting colts!
