The past two weeks have seen four big performances from progeny of Badge of Silver, highlighted by the ultra-talented Silver Max’s 5 3/4 victory in the GIII Oceanport Stakes at Monmouth Park. That big performance came on the heels of Fly Lexis Fly’s impressive 3rd place finish in the GI Eddie Read Stakes at Del Mar in his stateside turf debut.
In sticking with the bi-coastal theme, Badge of Silver was also represented by the impressive Forever Juanito, who won his two-year-old debut in a typically tough Del Mar Maiden Special Weight just a few days before the talented Badge of Silver colt, Tetradrachem, came within a single second of the Saratoga track record for 1 1/16 on the turf. His impressive allowance win came in the jaw-dropping time of 1:39 4/5.
