SOPHOMORE STARS SHINE FOR INCLUDE

Three Breakout performers for 2nd Leading Sophomore Sire on the Same Day!

$100,000 Private Terms S.
Laurel Park 1m

Etude established himself as a top triple crown candidate with an effortless, 5 3/4 length win in Laurel Park’s $100,000 feature.  Though facing stakes company for the first time, Etude never felt the whip as he was hand ridden to the wire in a race that had been decided by the top of the stretch.  The superalatives were freely flowing from Laurel’s track announcer as he exclaimed,  “its looking like a workout here for Etude…Etude could be a rising star!”  Undefeated and untested in three starts this year, having won all by at least 5 1/2 lengths, Etude has the look of a graded stakes star.  Stay tuned!

Congratulations to owner/breeder Fitzhugh LLC, trained Richard Small and jockey Luis Garcia!

$44,000 Msw
Gulfstream Park 1m

While Etude was making his case as the newest buzz horse on the Triple Crown trail, Tracy Farmer’s handsome Include colt, Comprise, was recording a very auspicious first win for trainer Nick Zito.  Comprise took control at the head of the stretch after a strong middle move and never relinguished the lead despite the challeges of a typically tough Gulfstream field.  An Airdrie homebred out of the Irish Tower mare Mystic Tower, Comprise, like so many of the Includes, looks to only improve with age and distance for his top shelf connections.

Congratulations to owner Tracy Farmer, trainer Nick Zito an jockey J. Alvarado!

$150,000 GIII Bourbonette S.
Turfway Park  1m

On the national radar since her devastating, 7 3/4 length debut maiden win at Saratoga, Glencrest Farm’s ultratalented filly Panty Raid made a stirring stakes debut in the GIII Bourbonette.  Despite breaking through the gate prior to the start after a rival had broken through next to her, Panty Raid was extremely professional in uncorking a late run to fall just a head short of the winner before getting past her right after the wire.  In the hands of the brilliant Todd Pletcher, Panty Raid gives every indication that her’s is a limitless future.

Congratulations to owner Glencrest Farm, breeder Heaven Trees Farm, trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey Edgar Prado!
