Creative Cause’s hip No. 516 drew a winning bid of $260,000 during Wednesday’s closing session of the OBS March 2-year-olds in Training sale, the second juvenile of the sale by the Airdrie stallion to bring at least a quarter-million dollars
Consigned by Niall Brennan, agent, the filly was purchased by trainer John Sadler. Out of the Canadian Frontier mare Pelt, the filly is from the same family as multiple graded stakes winners High Stakes Player and Discover.
Creative Cause’s average at the prestigious sale that kicks off the 2-year-old auction season was $210,000, more than 10 times his advertised stud fee.
