Santa Anita Park, September 29th – Last month, Tarlow broke her maiden in dramatic fashion at Del Mar and now, in her first try in stakes company, finished a strong 2nd in the $250,000 G2 Oak Leaf Stakes at Santa Anita!
After gaining the lead at the half and surrending her position, she came back gamely to challenge again on the second turn. This performance gives the bay filly valuable experience at the distance – around two turns – and she should improve greatly in future races.
