Ten Most Wanted (Deputy Commander) broke from the 2nd post and steadily applied pressure to the leaders in the 1 1/16 mile El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gates on Saturday, March 8th.
After dropping back to 4th, he finished with a strong surge for the 3rd spot at the rail, just a nose behind the favorite, Minister’s Wild Cat.
Coming out of the race in good form, the 3yo colt will now be pointed toward either the Illinois Derby (1 1/8 mile at Hawthorne on April 5th) or the Blue Grass Stakes (also 1 1/8th mile at Keeneland on April 12th), according to his connections. The additional distance should be to his liking!
