The gelding came around the turn into the stretch third trying to provide a challenge to the leaders, Bledsoe and Hedwig, but actually saw his deficit grow by nearly two lengths. Jockey Gerardo Corrales coaxed a little more out of his ride to reach the wire first.

Hedwig finished second and Please Advise rallied for third. Vote No paid $27.22 for a $2 win bet.

Vote No broke his maiden at Presque Isle Downs Aug. 23.
