Harvard Avenue made his 2nd stakes appearance a winning one! Missing by a nose on July 19th in the Emerald Express Stakes for two-year-olds, the dark bay gelding gave the WTBA Lads Stakes a try at 1 mile – and the extra distance proved a success!
Exhibiting a mature performance in his fourth start, Harvard Avenue settled in hand, responded to the jockey at the 3/8 pole, then circled four wide through the second turn. In the final yards, he wore down his rivals to edge clear for the win by a well-deserved length.
